SKILLS DEVELOPMENT & LOCAL LABOUR
We support skills development for all employees and subcontractors, as part of our group ESG strategy:
- We strive to create opportunities for local employees, suppliers and subcontractors where possible,
- It is our intention that every project should make maximum use of the local unemployed labour force. To this end, we limit the utilization on the project of non- local employees to that of key personnel only and employ as well as train local labour to the extent necessary for the execution and completion of every project.
- The employment of casual labour on projects is conducted in cooperation with community leaders and local structures.
- The necessity of on-the-job training, as well as formal training, enables employees to master the basic required work techniques in accordance with the requirements of the project, without compromising quality, workers’ health and safety.
